Our products

Six products in the Manto CMI line, each designed for a different objective on the heap: daytime solar capture, thermal stability at depth, extended retention, day-night balance, or hydraulic control of irrigation. All are manufactured at our plants in Chile and Mexico.

Manto CMI

Translucent 140 µm thermofilm with translucent sleeves. The base mat of the line, applicable on both the heap surface and its slopes.

11.3 hRetention
100 %Transmittance
337W/h transfer

Surface and/or slope

Technical illustration of Manto CMI Solar
CMI-BS

Manto CMI Solar

Black sleeves for maximum daytime solar capture. Delivers a greater thermal increase during the day.

11.9 hRetention
100 %Transmittance
318W/h transfer

Surface and/or slope

Recommended for: Sites where the objective is to maximise radiation capture during the day.

CMI-DF

Manto CMI Duo

Double layer of translucent 140 µm thermofilm. Delivers more stable performance throughout the ore column, positive at the interface and at the depths assessed.

11.6 hRetention
98 %Transmittance
328W/h transfer

Surface

Recommended for: Sites requiring consistent thermal increase at depth.

Technical illustration of Manto CMI Duo Max
CMI-DF-BS

Manto CMI Duo Max

Double layer of translucent thermofilm with black sleeves. Delivers the highest thermal retention in the line.

12.1 hRetention
96 %Transmittance
310W/h transfer

Surface

Recommended for: Sites where the objective is to extend the heap's cooling time.

Technical illustration of Manto CMI Balance
CMI-DF-1B-2T

Manto CMI Balance

Black thermofilm lower layer and translucent upper layer, both 140 µm. The most even day-night behaviour at the heap interface.

9 hRetention
73 %Transmittance
418W/h transfer

Surface

Recommended for: Sites with marked thermal swings, where balanced performance at the interface across the daily cycle matters.

CMI-M

Manto CMI Grid

Parallel alignment of the drip lines, free of sulfation. Reduces the risk of emitter clogging, achieves uniform flow distribution and maintains aeration in the deep zones of the heap.

20 ftMax. width
120–200µm thickness
To orderLength to spec

Surface and/or slope

Recommended for: Critical zones and slopes, where the objective is uniformity and hydraulic control of irrigation.

Values measured at the heap interface. Lower heat transfer means less thermal loss and therefore greater retention. Manto CMI Grid is not included in this table because it is measured by hydraulic control of irrigation rather than by temperature retention. Results vary according to mineralogy, heap height and irrigation cycle.
